Anna is a happy seven-year-old leading a regular, Midwestern, American-girl existence. And then her parents split up and life as she knows it vanishes. Suddenly, she has two houses, one of which is a real cracker box. She loses her shoes, books, mittens, and track of the days of the week. She misses her old life and can't take any more sad smiles from kids and teachers alike at school. Her life sucks. Bigtime. But, she can watch TV with the volume over 30 and say things like "sucks" without getting in trouble now. She can also eat cereal with chocolate milk for breakfast and have gummy bears for lunch on the days she talks Mom into skipping school, which she can also do now-pitch a fit and get her way. There are some perks to her situation....
