Ray and Tessa Holland hoped that things would settle down in their Palo Alto home now that a baby was on its way, but their life takes a turn. News of maternal complications and Ray's work schedule at Laubner Labs bring tensions to a boil. An argument interrupted by an emergency phone call has them rushing to the Hospital, until an intoxicated driver changes their lives in an instant. Tessa is in a coma, news of the baby's status, tragic. More fighting and Ray heads home alone, contemplating his future, when a knock at the door changes everything. A vengeful Russian man accompanied by his girlfriend seek justice for the death of a brother, blamed on Ray and his Gravity Gone device. Removed from his home and loaded on a ship headed to Russia, the father will invoke the death sentence in his homeland. Meanwhile, Tessa and her parents put together the pieces and are soon assisted by a lone FBI agent to help find Ray. Tessa's a wreck blaming herself for her situation, soon finds needed emotional support from the handsome agent, which leads to complications. Eventually the chase is on at sea north of Hawaii. The US Coast Guard races to assist, while Ray is attempting to devise a plan for his own rescue while receiving assistance from a Russian woman aboard the ship. It all comes to an exciting conclusion thanks to Ray and his Gravity Gone device powered by the fusion formed stones.
