Girl Scouting was an important part of her life. Years volunteering at the Missouri Botanical Garden helped fulfill her love of botany and sharing with others about the natural world. Maurita was a world adventurer who had insight into what life was really like and most importantly, the subtle changes that lead to the roles in society that women now enjoy and to recognize changes in our country that have led to life today as we know it.
