Elisha Chowtapalli is an entrepreneur and a passionate advocate for Dalit people and children in need. He is married to Vijaya, and blessed with two children. As a Dalit Indian, he has constantly experienced discrimination and unequal treatment for most of his life. However, these experiences strengthened his faith in God, which eventually motivated him to start LIGHT Society. Through LIGHT Society, Elisha hosts various programs that promote his mission and his purpose in life, which is "Making a difference in the lives of Dalits and children in need." He first founded LIGHT Home, which currently houses 115 children. They provide children with basic necessities, education, and more. He also started an English medium High school, which provides quality education to underprivileged children. He then founded the LIGHT Aged Day Centre, which has daily feeding programs for the elderly. He eventually started offering training for women on how to use a sewing machine so they can have their own source of income. He also conducts other programs that provide spiritual support and help promote God's word, like gospel crusades and conducting pastors and leaders' conferences. Today, Elisha is working on building a 10-bed multi-specialty hospital th at caters to everyone, but especially to the poverty-stricken areas of the community.
