Set in the turmoil of the apartheid years in South Africa a coloured woman faces the trials of racial discrimination as well as her own family trauma. Her employer, a privileged white woman, is challenged by the insurmountable difficulties of her marriage. Both are brought to breaking point as they struggle to find equilibrium in their lives. They are two women from opposite sides of the track. But take away the money, put aside the privileges. Are their lives really that different?
