A Few Lifetimes Ago: Poetry

This is the fifth poetry book published by Cole Son." A Few Lifetimes Ago" is also an Epic song written by prolific and talented author and singer songwriter who just released a new album by the same name on spotify, itunes, amazon and many more places across the globe.Cole Son is the writer of more than two thousand songs, and more than sixty five movie screenplays, and many books and poems yet to see the light of day. The artist had been called the "Shakespeare of Music," by one or more PR and other persons just recently. Three years ago on a remote farm in South Africa, the writer made a bonfire and burned eight hundred of his songs and poems. He was letting go of old energies, he tells the story; "A month later i wrote one hundred new songs in a single month. Every time I'd strum a chord on the guitar a song would pop out of me. Since 2012, I started having a spiritual awakening, so to speak. I just looked at the world through different eyes, removing the blinders and I saw how most of humanity had been brainwashed since birth into limiting beliefs, lies and deception. Unfortunately this sounds harsh but if you start looking around you through a different lens, you will start seeing things differently and you "will wake up," so to speak. A Few Lifetimes Ago is a special song journey into the soul of the seeker. I am sharing new poems as well as some I've written since 2012. Most of my words and music come from a poet's perspective and the words and music seem to blend together in powerful messages. It's boggled my mind for years where these words were coming from but now I know.I've been in Hollywood for almost thirty years now, and I always felt "Invisible." I could not get anywhere no matter what I did. I did not have management, or a record label or a publisher and I had to literally learn to do everything myself. I am completely self-taught as a singer, as a songwriter, as a screenwriter, as a guitar player (why I'm not the best player, lol), but I can write many songs... a different talent. I also taught myself to make movies by just shooting some short films and eventually a feature film, entitled "EXIT FEE." A movie I wrote, produced, directed in and starred in., etc. On top of it, I made it for less than five thousand dollars. A task that seemed impossible but I did it. Even the books I am publishing, I had learned to do myself and even the photos on the covers are selfies ?... (shameful right). Probably not my best photos but if you don't have a budget you pretty much have to do most things yourself.
