Raine Landry is 13 years old living in New Orleans and has always used art to dissolve the reality of his somber surroundings. With a drug addict mother and absent father, he struggles to find meals. King Brooks is his best friend and the one that makes sure he gets food. When his best friend's life is threatened by the neighborhood gang, he runs to his rescue, offering his loyalty to the gang to save his friend.Raine is absorbed in illegal activities that pay more money than he has ever seen. He battles with carrying out gang orders and the after effect on his neighborhood. Raine uses art to ease his mind and ignore consequence, but drawing will not work after he is pulled deeper into the gang activities.
