Covenant Theology: A Primer: 2nd Edition

Most Christians know that the Bible mentions "covenants." The Hebrew word that is translated "Covenant" (???????) occurs 284 times in the Old Testament (eg. Gen 9:9; 17:7; Dt 7:9; Ps 25:14; etc). The Greek word (d?a??´??) occurs 33 times in the New Testament (eg. Lk 22:20; Heb 12:24; 13:20 etc). But very few know the significance of these words and why they occur all over the Scriptures. The result of this ignorance carries grave consequences for the understanding and development of Christian Doctrine, the manner of Christian Life and the functioning of Christian Churches. Arguably, it also has international consequences. It is with this in mind that this primer is offered as an introduction to the subject that peradventure some may be provoked to think about their Christianity and others may be encouraged to study the subject more intensely.
