Cassandra Debosphorus

Cassandra Debosphorus comes from an underprivileged family living in an economically deprived neighbourhood. When she becomes the victim of a vicious assault, her entire life begins to unravel. Her attacker comes from a wealthy, influential family, and thus she must fight for justice while facing both social bias and intransigent bigotry. However, Cassandra does not conform to the narrative set for her by gender, class or stereotype. After suffering numerous tragedies related to her assault, Cassandra takes matters into her own hands in order to balance the scales, with tragic results. The concepts of love, sex, violence and the fluidity of morals are all placed under a microscope as Cassandra tries to cope with the aftermath of her attack.
