Living a Life Larger Than Yourself

True happiness is more than the word "happiness" alone implies. As the word is used today it relies on the little word "hap" which means "good luck or by chance." Happenstance does not create a quality of life; only purposeful behavior that is more than activities can bring the deep satisfaction to life that many call "happiness." Quality of life should not be confused with the concept of standard of living, which is based primarily on income. The term "quality of life" is used widely in different contexts: in this case, it deals with an intervention in the lives of individuals with general dissatisfaction with their personal or professional life.
