Overview
How come the son of a Vicar, who lived most of his childhood in a small countryside village, becomes one of the most popular authors of children's literature? How is it that his secluded living leads him to imagine such strange and magnificent characters as the ones in his books? Through this book, A Boy's Journey to Wonderland, you will learn about Lewis Carroll's childhood, the schools he went to, the books he read, the persons he met. He even had a brief encounter with Queen Victoria and her son Edward, the future King of England, in the halls of Oxford University, which might have, or might have not, sparked his imagination and provoke the creation of the Queen of Hearts. We could speculate for hours, but you could arrive at your own conclusions in half the time while reading the pages of A Boy's Journey. A curious, curious reading. Enjoy!
