Tristan, a 9-year old boy, has a troubled home life that comes to light at school. Tristan's biological mother and father divorced and his father quickly remarried. His stepmother had a new baby and there is an obvious difference in how she treats Tristan versus Cyrus, Tristan's half-brother, and Tristan's dad doesn't seem to notice. Tristan begins bullying a new boy in school because of all of his anger. He gets suspended for fighting and gets in even more trouble at home.
