Do Angels get second chances to prove themselves? Grading Scale is the story of Claire, a young Angel who broke the rules on her very first assignment among humans in AD214, and banished herself out of shame, into the far reaches of the Angelic Realms for eighteen hundred years. It is also about Rachel, the Fallen Angel, who is given a second chance to redeem herself after killing a man who was raping a woman in Paris AD414. Together again, these sister Angels are thrust into the strange yet alluring world of humans once again. They are given the not so delicate assignment of two high school classmates, whose problems run far deeper than the youthful and inexperienced Angels are capable of handling. Guided by their mentor Arthur, Claire and Rachel must navigate the emotionally charged world of teenagers, while attending high school and fumbling their way through the completion of their assignment. On the way, they rediscover their deep love for each other, whose storied history is interwoven in the tangled threads of their dark eighteen hundred years of life apart; one locked in the depths of darkness, the other lost in the lie she'd lived, both helpless to save themselves - until Arthur intervenes.
