Anyone reading this book and you might have a secret. Tell somebody; it might save their life. Deborah Shirley Pegues is the Founder and Director of Footprint of Many. which has been in existence since 1996. Born and raised in Oakland, CA, and Houston, Tx, Deborah (the fifth of six daughters) is a spiritual and motivating individual who is a devoted mother, grandmother, godmother and foster care parent. Deborah's continuous love and passion for children is what drives her daily. She enjoys acting as well as writing plays and poetry. Some of her poems have been published in the Annual American Poetry Book, and she has had the opportunity to be a part of projects such as the motion picture film Flubber, and CBS Television show, Midnight Caller. In Deborah's words, "It's important for people to know that although a child may come from an undesirable environment, they still have the ability to achieve their goals in life. I was very much inspired to write this book, A Mother's Child Taken By Many to show that it doesn't matter if you are young or old, you can gain the courage to face life's obstacles. This book is dedicated in the memory of Deborah's Mother (Marian Barfield) and Grandmother (Regurtha Campbell) who were the strength of her life and who made her who she is today. Deborah's ultimate dream is to see this book become a movie.
