Overview
Spousal abuse. Crystal meth. Astrophysics. A man who claims he's from another dimension. All in a day's work for a cop on Maui. A wrong-way driver causes a devastating collision in paradise. Even police detective Keone Boyd, born and raised on the spirit-filled island of Maui, is not prepared for the investigation that follows. The facts lead him to an abused wife, an oily drug distributor, an observatory atop a dormant volcano, and a man who claims he's traveled to Maui through an invisible passageway between universes. Here in paradise, Boyd knows the facts can take you far from where you want to go-but this case takes him where he's never gone before. Frustrated, conflicted, and faced with deadly threats to himself and those he cares about, Keone uncovers truths and theories that challenge his views of life, police work, and reality. How can one suspect-who believes left is right-impact the lives of so many? The answer may lie in the eyes of the beholder. "In his latest book, Eyes of the Beholder, must-read author Rick Ludwig brings us a world that will have you questioning what is right ... and what is left." R.J. Johnson, award-winning author of Dreamslinger "An auto accident destroys Detective-Sergeant Keone Boyd's roadster, plunging him into an unexpected realm as he grapples with a suspect's alternate reality and unexpected plot twists. This is not your typical investigation. Eyes of the Beholder is a gripping read that will leave you wondering what comes next." Kenneth Andrus, acclaimed author of Arctic Menace
