THE LIFE OF A ROCK STAR. ONE BLASTED THING AFTER ANOTHER. It's 1984, and the boys in English rock band Pirate are revelling in the thrills of success and excess. Everyone, that is, except control freak lead singer Jack St James, who's had it with the rock star life after four years of non-stop touring and recording. Worst of all, a beautiful and infamous groupie is sowing discord within the band and Jack's powerful father threatens to force him back home to assume his "rightful place," a fate Jack considers worse than death. After achieving success beyond his wildest dreams, Jack wonders if the Fates have turned against him. Is a piece of happiness and contentment in this world just too much to ask?
