This story is set against the political and military realities of Central America amidst a not-too-distant backdrop of guerrilla warfare, intrigue, conspiracy, and murder. It is a story of a young archeologist from Israel who, along with a college friend from Guatemala, became close friends sharing the joy of accomplishment whenever they became close to discoveries of unknown archeological artifacts located in the jungles of Central America. Over the years they became more and more obsessed with a quest to discover one of the century's greatest archeological finds, ie., The Southern Classical Libraries of the Mayan culture and its civilization. It was their passion to be able to be recognized as the "discoverers" of this valuable treasure and to be able to provide the world with a documentary of their discoveries. This story evolved during the years of 1967 through 1980. History records during this time cycle that a civil war was carried on along the 200 kilometers of the common Guatemala and Honduras border with Nicaragua.Over the years of their journey, they worked in cooperation with both Governments of Guatemala and Honduras. The Governments of Honduras and Guatemala agreed on many occasions that this major discovery would acknowledge that the archeologists involved were indeed the discoverers and they would have the authority to document and publicize this profound discovery. This story will describe the destruction of life, career, dignity, and ultimate progression of the Taylor family's inheritance. Charles Taylor financed this quest and ultimately his passion killed him. He died of an incurable disease, alone and in poverty. He cherished his dream but never experienced the joy of its reality.
