The author created a story, based on historical facts. She placed herself in the role of Mary Magdalene - who was the apostle of the apostles and who understood Jesus' teachings better than all the other apostles - and narrated the history, interpreted and revealed his teachings plainly, those which are present in the Gospel according to John, by André Chouraqui. All the words which Jesus said in the book were transcribed accurately from that text. The author tried not to put words in Jesus' mouth. She did this in only one per cent of the book, because the fictional context demanded it. Thus, in the course of the story, she manages to show that Jesus was not poor; Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute; Jesus was from Hebrew nobility; Mary Magdalene was a rich noblewoman; Barrabas was not a thief, or a bandit; Jesus was a rabbi; Jesus married Mary Magdalene; Jesus was on Earth and was very different from all men of that time, he was incredible and very, very special, he was pure love; Jesus always made a distinction between his human body and his divine soul; Jesus' relationship with women was very different from that of the men of his time. And the author answers the following questions: Why did Jesus allow himself to be taken and crucified? Did Jesus have children? Was Jesus really the son of Mary and Joseph? Did Jesus have blood brothers and sisters?
