Straight out of the 80's old school golden age of hip hop, comes a B-Boy hero for the people, Ray Shocklee; soon to be known as Shock Ray. Shock Ray is endowed with electrical powers to bring about a change in Qush City. Our hero, Shock Ray, came of age in the eighties and formed a treacherous gang called The Qush City Boyz (QCB). Ray and a couple of close childhood friends started the gang to dance battle, Rap battle, DJ battle and graffiti art battle against other rival neighborhood gangs. After tremendous social changes in his city, which included subsiding job training programs for the youth and the introduction of highly addictive drug called Mirda Rock, it was made easy for the Qush City Boyz and the rest of the gangs in the city to become community terrorists; in turn getting infected with the gangsters' life and easy money mentality. This created an atmosphere for the gangs to start destroying themselves and the community. As fate would have it during this time, Ray is saved by a television interview that was seen by community leader and professor of African studies at C.G. Woodson University, Dr. Wiseman. Ray's new teacher and mentor becomes intrigued with the interview, takes Ray under his wing and guides him toward manhood. Years have passed since the professor entered Ray's reality, and enriched his life. After Ray receives his Universal and Worldly education, he comes back to Qush City and the community he loves and opens a community center, providing the community's residents with health care, career training and education. It's been more than 30 years since Ray and his childhood friends started QCB which is now the largest community terrorist gang in the city now controlled and run by three of the co-founder's sons and Ray's close friend, Michael Mack. With Ray's return and the opening of the community center, antediluvian leadership looks to him to help make a change. They come to him with concerns about the high number of young African-Americans being killed mysteriously in police custody, and detainment community terrorists go to court not being found guilty for murdering rivals and other serious illegal activities because charges have been dropped. With the death of a college bound young woman named Sandy Smith from the community, Ray investigates the residents' concerns and finds there is a sinister relationship between the community terrorists, the police force and the new leadership in the community that is religious and political. Ray is met with opposition from the new leadership, the police force and the Qush City Boyz. He is getting help from someone inside the QCB organization; a member by the name of Tony Smith who happens to be Sandy's brother. The police force and other members' of QCB attempt to eliminate Ray Shocklee, not realizing they have instead created Shock Ray - the electrically charged powered hero that eradicates them all and saves the community. Shock Ray gets his power from his electrically charged heart that has been enhanced by a one-of-a-kind pacemaker that pumps electro-plasma throughout his entire body, giving him above-average strength, speed, and stamina. With these powers, he's resistant to certain injuries and he heals quicker because of his resting healing factor. With the electricity surging throughout his body, Ray is capable of stopping a large caliber bullet. He is a skilled fighter, in both weapons and hand-to-hand combat. With a pair of gloves and a jacket that was designed to act like a Taser, he can manipulate the electricity out of his body capable of delivering powerful electric shocks upon contact. During Shock Ray's takedown of Qush City's corrupt leadership and its allies, he starts to work with Ebony Knight, a government agent, and her secret bureau task force, Knight Stand - eventually forming a team to put an end to corruption in African-American cities and communities, and US African diasporic allies and agencies.
