Started in 1998 from eighteen people, Highlands Church is a growing congregation of approximately two thousand. Mark currently has responsibilities as the connection pastor and oversees the men's ministries. In addition, Mark serves as the chaplain for the Scottsdale Fire Department. Married for over forty years, Mark and his wife Mary Beth have raised two sons and now enjoy the adventure and enrichment of keeping tabs on eight grandchildren. Together, Mark and Kat Osten have co-authored three other books for discipleship under than banner of "My Deeper Walk" - "A Firm Foundation," "Who Am I?" and "Who is God". In addition they have co-authored a study entitled, "Man of God" which examines fourteen Psalms written by David.
