Our Lady of Providence High School was never as big as many of the area public schools, but a deep-seeded determination among its athletic teams and their loyal fans provided amazing growth in the rich athletic soil of southern Indiana - yes, basketball country. Located along the north shore of the Ohio River in Clark County, and labeled the Providence Pioneers, the resulting Blue Pride permeated the school's every athletic endeavor. The same tradition inspired the authors, both 1957 graduates of the school, to compile the story of their alma mater's 66-years of basketball program, both boys and girls, from 1951 to 2017.
