Here am I! Send me! (Peacemaker Series)

One minute I am riding in an armored tactical vehicle on a road in Afghanistan in full Army combat gear, and the next I am at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C, in a full hospital gown. I hear the doctor reading off a list of my destruction: 13 broken ribs, two collapsed lungs, a radial fracture with ulnar protrusion, a collar bone and hip bone fracture, two fractured vertebrae, two "missing" front teeth, a ruptured ear drum and traumatic brain injury.
