She also meets Vidar L`Estrange, the man destined to have the greatest power and influence over her life and enters into a perilous love affair, the effects of which she finds difficult to overcome. However, a Fortune Teller's predictions turn out to be uncannily correct and eventually Jean becomes an ordinary housewife and mother of three, living in New Zealand.
