Murder Town, USA: Homicide, Structural Violence and Activism is a street ethnography that describes how fifteen men and women from the streets studied and did activism on gun violence in Wilmington, Delaware. In fact, this team took seriously the role that race, ethnicity, gender, poverty, white-wealth and small-city size contributed to gun violence. Murder Town, USA argues the voices most likely to perpetuate and be victimized by gun violence, is what's missing most from analysis on gun violence. It is only through and with the streets that it is possible to fully understand and develop interventions to improve their neighborhoods.
