Alison is on the up. Her bloody divorce is behind her, her new man Archie has brought her and her daughter, Lauren, to the idyllic island of Nevis in the Caribbean for some winter sun. Life doesn't get much better. Then it happens. That face from the past, the affair that never quite finished, goodbyes that were never said.
