'The Hero Cult: Annotations on Insanity' is a psychoanalytic sketch featuring and explaining the main narcissistic characteristics of our age-old patriarchal society! The essay does not to be meant ideologically, and is certainly not a guidebook for anarchy! The article also contains autobiographical information, and as such writing it had for the author a certain therapeutic value. The last chapter shows this quite clearly in that it traces a line, and gives a definite answer, the answer namely that hate, resentment, revolt and bloody revolutions are not appropriate means to an end for the one who seriously wishes to help transform patriarchy into something more functional and perhaps on the lines of what Krishnamurti called 'A Psychological Revolution.'
