April Showers, Failed Fairy

April Showers looks like a fairy, but she doesn't feel like one. She's small and delicate like her friends and family, but they can use magic in the fairy and human worlds but she can not. She has no magic. How will she open the portals between the dimensions to monitor and help in the human world when she comes of age? She is teased by her schoolmates and her parents talk and worry about her otherness at night when they think she is asleep. She runs away through an open portal into the human world where she discovers she actually does have magic, not Fairy magic, but human magic. She must discover her past and face the tragic history of her lost family and the evil wizard that is even now seeking her. Her journey is also filled with revelations, new friends, evil and great humans. As she learns about her past life and her true powers, she realizes she must eventually face the evil wizard that destroyed her family when she was an infant, even though he is her father. That great battle occurs in Disney World where April comes into her power with the help of her friends and family while the park patrons think it is just another Disney spectacle. She finally realizes she may have been a failed fairy, but she is a powerful and competent magical human with great friends, great family, and a great future.
