Mimesis/Anti-Mimesis

Mimesis/Anti-Mimesis suggests the redundancy of the term Mimesis in Aesthetics and not least in the Aestetics of Architecture. The concepts of the Beautiful and Sublime are reconsidered from the point of view of ritual function as are the poetics and politics of representation. A theory of ritual performativity is suggested for the reception of Architecture.
