The Theology Of Biblical Fasting

THIS SINGLE-PERSPECTIVE, ONENESS THEOLOGICAL Argument was written with the sole purpose of providing Biblical truth, understanding, clarity, as well as revelation to all individuals regarding an extremely important, but, yet, slightly misunderstood Divine-observance-Fasting. Now, in achieving this objective, I have chosen to utilize an in-depth approach of the Word of God. In short, I have provided several key Scriptures in the hope of removing any non-Biblical views as well as misconceptions of such a vital Biblical subject matter; thus, improving one's Christian walk with God. With this said, I would like to submit the following Thesis as the central assertion of this theological paper: The true Biblical Stand, with reference to Fasting, is set-forth according to the Word of God via Divine-revelation of "the deep and secret things" of God, and not as advocated nor practiced by many of our 21st-Century Oneness Christian leaders. For example, teaching that the Daniel Fast is a Fast which consists of twenty-one (21) days. The general presupposition, then, rests solely upon the following Claim: Upon further and careful observance of Christianity's perspective and current practice, it may be pointed-out that many Christians' viewpoint and observance of Fasting appears to be laden with several Scriptural, spiritual, and practical inconsistencies. By the way, this Single-perspective, Oneness Theological Argument will be presented from a purely Apostolic Doctrinal perspective-God's perspective. Now, in doing my own Biblical study and research, I have encountered much error being taught within many Christian denominations (Orthodoxy as well as Oneness alike) as being Biblical. With this said, contrary to standard expository writing guidelines, it is my professional opinion that this has occurred due to a lack of Biblical understanding, faulty Biblical research, spiritual blindness and deafness, improper application of hermeneutics and exegesis, as well as being guilty of not having a proper walk with God. This, unfortunately, has caused non-Biblical doctrinal teaching that has led to false doctrine regarding The Theology of Biblical Fasting. With this said, as you carefully read through this Single-perspective, Oneness Theological Argument, I ask that you sincerely pray-seeking after The Wisdom of God-asking God to unveil His truth, in order to open-up your spiritual eyes and unplug your spiritual ears; to provide complete understanding and clarity of this profound, life-impacting subject matter; as well as, to reveal the spiritual significance of Fasting as outlined within Isaiah 58:1-12.
