Dark Angel is the second in the "The Drifter " series. It picks up where "Book I - The Beginning " leaves off. Max Cordell continues his journey in search of peace, serenity and solitude. But trouble seems to find him wherever he goes. Stopping in Scranton Pa. for a much-needed break from the road, he has a chance encounter with a mob hitman, to whom he makes a promise that pits him against the biggest mob boss in Scranton. At the same time, a young boy named Eli captures his attention, while Eli's beautiful, sensual mother threatens to capture his heart.
