Speaking Our Truths, Celebrating Our Stories : Voices Of Brooklyn Generation School

Brooklyn Generation School is a New York City Public School located in Canarsie Brooklyn, with a student body representing 19 different countries and 8 different home languages. Over two dozen students serve their school as Youth Leaders; they've shared their stories here. Students wrote about: surviving the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti, winning a football game, learning from travel, welcoming a parent home from the hospital after a long stay for cancer treatment, surviving and overcoming bullying and intimate partner violence, and so much more.
