2080 is a political science fiction written for a future when women are free and no longer under male domination. To a time when people rediscover friendship, communal living and love. Unlike the dystopia in "Nineteen Eighty-Four", "2080" is about what can be possible and yet not utopian. "2080" basically asks this question: If scarcity can be solved by artificial intelligence and robotic technologies, what could be the social ramifications? This question also leads us to reflect on how human history has tried to solve the scarcity problem. In short, history's entire experience in solving this problem is mired in only one form of social structure, namely the deep hierarchical patriarchal order. It is inescapable by now to recognise the fatal flaw of this form of social structure. Humanity has tried this way long enough to no avail and it is time now for society to chart a new course. "2080" aims to point out possibilities, so that humans can return to true living in peace. 2018 04 01
