The Relationship Between Emotional Maturity And Mobile Phone Addiction In Emerging Adults

INTRODUCTION AND CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK 1.1 OVERVIEW The first chapter consist of eight sections. The first and the second sections gives an insight and a short introduction of the research study. The third, fourth and the fifth sections deals with meaning, definition characteristics of mobile phone addiction, historical background, usage and types of addiction and also some statistical data of mobile dependence over the globe. The sixth, seven and eight section states the meaning and definition of emotion and maturity and types of maturity. It also describes in detail about emotional maturity- its meaning and definition, criteria, factors, characteristics, levels, the 7 steps and components of emotional maturity. The ninth section describes a new concept which is related to the transition of the adolescence to adulthood, known as emerging adulthood, along with a discussion of its relevant theory and a historical background of research. This section states that the theory of emerging adulthood is a constructive way of analysing the lives of people from their late teens to their mid or late 20s. The theories of emerging adulthood is discussed as well as how it is different from the late adolescence and the early adulthood has been highlighted,
