Somatic Awareness and its Impact on Leadership

This book explores the impact that somatics has on leadership. A somatic approach to leadership includes one's use of the whole self--the mind, body and spirit. The integration of these three components serve to increase one's leadership capacity which shows up in terms of a leader's presence, focus, awareness, mindfulness and by the manner a leader responds to challenges presented during the course of life and leadership. This realization may greatly assist leaders in putting into play their natural abilities, recognize natural strengths, act in the face of conflict and be more receptive to what their bodies are communicating to them.
