The research explores how Chinese Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has impacted on the development of the Zambian copper mining industry towns, specifically in Chambishi, Kalulushi, and Luanshya. The purpose of the study is to assess whether this FDI is having a positive impact in the towns where it is most concentrated and if this benefits majority of the town's residents. The study employed a mixed design of qualitative and quantitative approach, where survey questionnaires were used to gather the data and the data analysed assisted in answering the hyphothesis: Chinese FDI has had a positive impact on development. This book was a passion project that will hopefully influence law-makers in deciding what is best for citizens.
