Jai Ram

September 1990. The Ganesh Chathurthi procession escalates into a religious riot and violence breaks out in the streets of Triplicane. Jayram, a college student from the locality goes missing. Where is Jayram? The story goes back a year, and tracks his life to find some answers. Woven in the coming-of-age genre, 'Jai Ram' is a fascinating and disquieting story of how religious fundamentalism insidiously infects young minds (with powerful, persuasive arguments), and upends their lives and values.
