After being abandoned by her lover of twenty-five years, Prudence returns to Jamaica from Canada where she'd spent close to four decades. Ill and infirm, she waits for death, but her feisty sister, Constance, who'd moved in with her, nurses her back to health. Having recovered from her illness, Prudence looks forward to enjoying a hassle-free retirement. However, Constance starts to treat her like an intruder, taking over her house and her life.
