I felt that I needed to write my story because I am sure it resonates with many other women. Are you that woman who is afraid to leave your children to pursue your dreams? I wrote this book with you in mind, it is a recount of my experience as a wife, mother and woman because I understand the situation you are in and the journey you expect to undertake. I want to be a voice of hope to you. I am here to assure you that it shall be alright, you just need to take that step of faith. My desire to be my best pushed me to go and pursue my dream and my life has changed to a whole new level. I had this burning desire to be the person I believed I ought to be and I believed it was my responsibility to do what I needed to do. This book is for any woman who has this eminent fear to pursue her dreams to advance her career, her academics or just do some personal development. Herein I share my journey and give you some insight on how I maneuvered and came out stronger and unscathed. "Each time I left my children behind, there was a characteristic pain I felt in my heart. It was not easy. There was a complete shift in my life." As a mother of three, a wife, and a career woman, pursuing a PhD initially seemed like the hardest thing to do.
