The Candle Trilogy: The Last Draftee

The Last Draftee revolves around Candle as one of the last draftees. The US Army trains him as a Military Police officer, and in Heidelberg, West Germany he gets shot, Turks robbing the PX, and stabbed by a GI in the line of Duty. Candle's secondary Military Occupation is playing chess for the Army where he goes to East Berlin to play a tournament. Actually, he is going to bring back highly sensitive photos of Soviet Missel sites. After serving honorably for two years, Candle survives his military obligation only to return back to his home in the states that now look foreign to him.
