In this book Nehemiah has the job to rebuild the wall and its gates. While his most prominent enemies were Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem. In Nehemiah the key characters and events reveals to us that the basis of our walk and warfare as Christians. Each one of us have our role to do, to help rebuild the wall. The wall surrounded Jerusalem and was broken only by 10 gates. The wall was used to keep the wrong people out, while at the same time the gates let the right people in. The walls were for protect and separation between the people of God and His enemies. In this sense, we can see a wall as salvation, from the enemies and the power of sin, according to Isaiah 60:18, that states 'But you will call your walls salvation and your gates praise. I love how Proverbs 25:28 puts it, "Like a city that is broken into and without walls, so is a man who has no control over his spirit." From this verse, we can see that the rebuilding of the walls can give us instructions as individuals, as Gods people as a whole, and His body, the church. So as we look at each gate, we will look at each meaning for both the personal and spiritual significance.Let's transform together by going on the Journey of the Ten Gates of Jerusalem Wall.
