This collection of poems has been with me for some time, without a clear home in any of my other projects-though, admittedly, I tend to revisit similar themes! When I discovered ChatGPT, I thought I had found the answer to my lingering writing insecurities. The tool has been incredibly helpful for my short stories and larger projects, offering clarity in areas like spelling and grammar. However, when it came to my poetry, I noticed something curious. The AI's translations of my poems often missed the mark-sometimes subtly, other times significantly. These differences between what I intended and what the AI interpreted were intriguing, so much so that I felt they deserved a closer look. Poetry, after all, comes from the heart. It's not just about structure or correctness; it's about conveying emotion, nuance, and meaning-something that, in my opinion, only an artist can fully achieve. In this collection, I've included both my original words and ChatGPT's interpretations, hoping to spark an interesting conversation about the intersection of creativity, technology, and human expression.
