Simon and The Cross: Reflections of the African who bore the cross of Jesus Christ

This book takes a closer look at the character referred to as Simon of Cyrene in the Bible, the role he played but focuses very closely on what most likely went through his mind, his struggles and the questions he most likely had. We accompany him and explore and appreciate the legacy he has left all of us, particularly people from Africa and the African diaspora. We also examine closer the eventual rich legacy he has left the world by his example, while question his somewhat whitewashed imagery the world is left with and in so doing question the unfortunately impact this has likely had on non European people of the world.
