Allusions of the Soul: A Book of Poetry

In my life I've gone through abandonment, abuse, guilt, shame, homelessness, disappointments, betrayals, rejection, sickness, infirmity, lack, etc. Experiencing these circumstances in life can create a level of anxiety, depression, and anger within.But there comes the moment where you have to ask yourself... Will I crumble to the ground just like crumbs of what's left of my life? Or will I get up, pick up my crumbs, and make recipes with them? As the saying goes: "when life gives you lemons make lemonade"Throughout both the adversities that have transpired and the ones that I'm still going through, I've discovered that there is a fine line between the three choices one can make. I've learned you can allow life's inevitable adversities turn you into a sour & miserable person, you can give up (while it's been extremely tempting at times, not an option), or you can grow and use your pain as fuel.I've decided to go with number three. Why? Because though it's easier said than done (I ain't gonna lie), I'm not going down without a fight. I've decided instead of wasting my pain by becoming a victim of it, to become a victor and use my pain as a tool to inspire others.May you be empowered and inspired by the words of my testimony!
