In 2007, four recent college graduates met when they moved to the shores of Lake Tahoe to partake in a volunteer program. Nestled in the Sierra Mountains the women form a deep bond. What starts as an instant friendship filled with debauchery and skiing, quickly turns into a lifelong sisterhood when they accidentally commit a murder. Over ten years later, the women are getting ready for their yearly reunion to cleanse themselves of their sins. When one of the women develops postpartum depression, she risks telling the women's secrets and destroying all they have built. Through a carefully weaved story, the women's secrets, desires and immaturities are revealed as the women's annual burning ceremony approaches.
