The Daily Office for Lent and Easter presents Prayer for Morning, Noonday, Evening and Compline drawing on both the Book of Common Prayer as well as Benedictine resources for a unique expression of the prayer of the Church. The Calendar is based on Lesser Feasts and Fasts 2006 along with additions from Benedictine calendars as well as other Episcopal editions of the calendar to achieve a balance of genders and integrate monastic saints into the yearly cycle. The Offices include distinct features of the Daily Office as provided for in the Rule of St. Benedict such as Responsories and Litanies, a broad selection of antiphons for the psalms and canticles, an expansive version of the Canticles and a offices to celebrate the seasons and the saints. This volume is part of a three volume series which include Advent, Christmas and Epiphany in Volume I, Lent and Easter in Volume II and the Seasons after Epiphany and Pentecost in Volume III.
