The famous Ukpaghari warrior king, Ukpandu has passed on and itseems his son is not warlike enough to fill his shoes. Okonta, a greatwarrior, too, but with no royal blood in him, executes a palace coup withthe help of some noble men, and some king makers, and arrogates themonarchy to himself disregarding the actual heir to the throne. Toconsolidate his grip on power, Okonta hires mercenaries and subdues hisown people to become king by force. The intrigue begins.
