Neptune King and the Werewolf is the 35th book in the series. The detectives meet geneticist Claire Sandhurst who hires them to help a family in Spain who suffer from the genetic disorder hypertrichosis, also known as werewolf syndrome. There had been several deaths in the verdant farming valley of Vasquez that were being attributed to a werewolf. The simple superstitious farm folk turned on the Hernandez family, attacked them and drove them away from their farm. It is Neptune and Shark's job to prove their innocence so they can return home, and stop the werewolf once and for all.It doesn't take them long to connect the murders to a large agricultural farm conglomerate that has been trying to buy up all the valley farms for their use, and they don't seem to care how they obtain them. As well as the murders there are night raids on farms, their sons and daughters are assaulted, and even the townsfolk are being terrorized. The who is the easy part of their case, proving it is a whole different matter.
