She loves to spend her free time volunteering at her kids' schools, helping in the school's cultural fair, supporting non-profit organizations, drawing, singing, and creating artwork. Min-Hua's own children are bicultural and have enjoyed the Taiwanese culture, language, and food. Through this book, Mama's Hometown Is Kaohsiung, Southern Taiwan, Min-Hua's desire is to help families better understand the Taiwanese culture and how it compares to their own, and maybe even inspire a desire to visit and see it for themselves.
