Free from the Darkness: A Collection of Poetry & Art

I use poetry and art as tools-coping mechanisms-for the parts of life that lie beyond what the eye can see. Tangible things can be repaired with tools. Illnesses are treated with medicine. But what about the invisible wounds? What do we reach for when there's no instrument to mend what aches inside? Some itches cannot be scratched with anything man-made.So I write poetry and create art to conjure something beyond what the eyes can see-something to hold onto when everything else slips away. Poetry and art are my languages of the soul-the words often left unsaid. They help me speak life into the places within that have long been silent. My imagination offers a new lens through which I see the world. It connects me directly to the spirit of truth that lives within.
