The Achievement Gap in Phoenix, Arizona: A Quantitave Causal-Comparative Study

Charter schools have become one of the nation's national solution to close the achievement gap between affluent and underprivileged communities. Many states such as Arizona have authorized an abundance of charter schools to close the state's overall low- performance rate. A causal-comparative study of four consecutive archival data was used to evaluate math and reading scores of charter and public schools in one of Arizona's low-performing school district.
